Europe’s largest rock sculpture can be found in Romania as well. Near the small city of Orsova lies a 55-meter-high rock sculpture representing Decebalus, the Last king of Dacia.

Romania is the home to one of the most colorful cemeteries in the world. Merry Cemetery, situated in a small village of Maramures is one of the happiest places of its kind. Designed by Stan Ioan Patras in 1940 is an open-air museum and a very popular tourist attraction as well. Each tombstone features a witty poem about the person’s life or the way he or she died.
