Rooftop Bars with Amazing Views in New York City

If there’s one city in the world with an absolutely iconic skyline, we’d have to say it’s New York. The Empire State, Chrysler Buildings and One World Trade Center stand tall and proud against the sky behind them, and the lights from the buildings that surround them look like a sea of stars once the sun has set at night. It’s a skyline that begs to be observed, and what better way to do that than on top of another building with a drink in your hand? New York is full of rooftop bars and clubs that, in our opinion, are one of the best ways to enjoy the city. Here are some of our favorites:

Panorama Room

The name says it all. The views from this rooftop bar on Roosevelt Island are worth leaving Manhattan for, and the drinks aren’t bad either. The bar is located on the 18th floor of the Graduate Roosevelt Island hotel and specializes in martinis and sparkling wines.

Salon de Ning

Those in search of some prime NYC skyline views from within Manhattan should check out Salon de Ning, a rooftop bar on Fifth Avenue with both indoor seating and two terraces overlooking one of New York’s most famous streets below.

Overstory

Over 60 storeys is more like it. This rooftop bar is located on the 64th floor of a building in the city’s Financial District. Guests can enjoy cocktails and small bites inside or on the bar’s wrap-around terrace, where it’s recommended to make reservations in advance.
