If there is one person who can get anywhere on the planet, it’s Santa Claus! Each Christmas Eve, the big red guy manages to navigate his way across the globe in order to give kids their holiday gifts. So, who better to team up with than Waze?
The Google-owned GPS app offers users real-time updates on traffic jams, accidents, and speed traps in the area so that you can take the best possible route. Dozens of famous names have lent their voices to the app’s navigation system, including Morgan Freeman, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kevin Hart, and Cookie Monster. Now, Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be joining the exclusive audio club.
“Waze wants to bring some cheer to your drives this holiday season with Santa and Mrs. Claus,” stated Waze’s chief marketing officer, Harris Beber. “Following an increase in Thanksgiving traffic this year, drivers should expect more traffic on the road this December. Waze’s Santa driving experience provides lighthearted jokes and fun visuals, like converting your car to Santa’s sleigh on the Waze map, all while making your rides smarter and safer.”
True to his jolly nature, Santa will encourage drivers to stay on the police’s “nice list” and encourage them to make him cookies upon reaching their destination.
The holiday-themed voice directions will be available until January 3, 2023.
