Place de la Concorde
Situated in the center of the city, this is one of the most major public squares in Paris. In the middle of the square, you will find the famous Egyptian obelisk, which was given to France by the Egyptian government in the 19th century.
Place de la République
This square in the eastern part of the city is the meeting point of 7 major avenues. It is also considered a gathering place for protestors and for national celebrations. At the center of the square stands a big statue of Marianne, the symbol of the French republic.
Place de la Bastille
The renovations of this square are finally over, and you are welcome to enjoy and appreciate the new walking and bicycle lanes that will allow you easy access to other parts of the city. The new Paris Opera house is also situated on the eastern part of the square.
