When visiting Greenland, you will want to stick to the areas that are close to the coast. Here is where you will find some truly unforgettable spots to see.
Whale-watching and ice fjords can both be accessed via cruises along the island’s coast. Disko Bay is the site of much of this activity, where the region’s towns also offer a fascinating look at Inuit culture.
Inuit culture and Viking ruins are much of the cultural heritage that you will find on the island of Greenland. However, if that doesn’t strike your fancy, keep in mind that natural phenomena like the Aurora Borealis and geothermal hot springs are other potential opportunities to check out while visiting this territory.
Why not dive deep and explore what you want to do in order to plan your dream vacation to this natural paradise? It is sure to surprise.

]]>Located off of the northwest coast of Africa, Madeira is a spot that enjoys good weather all year round and has a ton to see and do outside of the typical beach visits, although there is plenty of opportunity to do that too.
Hiking is one of the best things to do in Madeira, with trails such as the Ponta de São Lourenço offering incredible Atlantic Ocean vistas and interior trails like the ones in the central mountain chain of the island going up to 6,000 feet above sea level!
After exploring the island’s nature, one perfect is heading to the capital city of Funchal and grabbing dinner in one of the cozy outdoor terraces that serve up fresh seafood and tropical drinks.
Don’t spend too much time just sitting around, however, as you can find all kinds of spectacular things like volcanic swimming pools in Porto Moniz, Europe’s highest sea cliff (Cabo Girao, at a dizzying 580 meters above the ocean), and spectacular viewpoints to see the ocean all around the island.
Think about taking your next island vacation in Madeira, one of the most spectacular places on Earth!

]]>One of the most unique experiences that visitors to Sao Miguel can have while visiting this stunningly beautiful island is a trip to Ponta da Ferraria, a spot located on the rugged west coast of the island.
The reason why this location is so unique is that it contains pools made from volcanic rock that contain thermally-heated water, which you can access freely and without paying a dime. These pools, located right next to the wild Atlantic Ocean, are set in a stunning location and provide one of the most strangely relaxing experiences you’ll ever have.
The water, which is ocean water that is heated by thermal action underneath the surface, has been used as a medicinal spot since the 15th century due to the water’s sulfuric nature and its supposed healing qualities.
The water in these hot springs isn’t quite as hot as what you might be used to due to the cold water of the Atlantic, but you’ll never forget just how cool it was to bathe in a basalt pool.
Check it out if you find yourself in Sao Miguel!
