]]>The Northern Territory is blessed with pristine and beautiful beaches on the always-warm Indian Ocean, which are definitely worth visiting. Here are three that you absolutely must put on your list.
Located far to the northeast of mainland Australia in the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, this beach is widely-known as the best in all of Australia. Featuring palm trees and coconuts, this tropical paradise is an absolute must-visit.
Mindil Beach is one of two on the list that are located in close proximity to Darwin, the NT’s capital. Mindil is a great option for people-watching, bathing, and as a shopping spot. In fact, the city hosts a seasonal market here throughout the summer where crafters sell their products.
Located a little farther from Darwin than Mindil is Casuarina Beach, which is located where a small creek meets the ocean. This is a great place to run or do sports, and if you stay until the evening, you’ll see one of Australia’s most beautiful sunsets.

]]>Obviously, everyone knows about Bondi Beach in Sydney, but you should at least go by it to check it out! It does get very crowded with tourists and locals, but it’s so stunning you need to see it to believe it.
This beach is on an island called Frasers Island, and it’s a great place to lay-out and get some peace and quiet. The waters are all shades of green and blue, and the sand is super lush. The only thing is that the waves are very strong, so while it’s not a great place to swim, it is the perfect place to take a walk or read a book! And there are other lakes and springs on the island to satisfy your swimming needs.
