]]>The many street murals that adorn El Paso are perhaps the city’s most distinguished feature. Of the more than 100 murals in El Paso, the greatest concentration are south of downtown between Paisano Dr and the Border Hwy, and north of Paisano Drive near Douglass Elementary School.
Ysleta del Sur Pueblo is home to the Tigua, a recognized Native American tribe and sovereign nation living in the Ysleta section of El Paso. Despite Spanish influences, the Tigua strive to retain their identity as the oldest identifiable ethnic group in Texas. If you stop by on Wednesday or Saturday you can watch bread being made and even buy a fresh loaf.
This scenic drive follows the southern tip of the Franklin Mountains and the Rio Grande river. There are plenty of benches along the way where you can stop and really take in the spectacular view.
This National Park commemorates the Chamizal Treaty of 1963, which was a peaceful settlement of a century-long border dispute between Mexico and the United States.

]]>There’s free transportation in the city that will take you anywhere you want to see. You don’t need your own car to see the city and you can reach many different places fast. Save the energy for various tours and hop on the streetcar to take you places.
Kansas City has over 200 fountains, 48 of which are publicly held. This means you can freely see them and photograph them. Make a day of it and go on a fountain hunt without a paid tour!
The monthly event known as First Fridays happens at the Crossroads Art District. You can reach it with the streetcar and enjoy music performances and your dose of art and culture. There are food trucks available so you can stay even if you’re hungry.

]]>One of the most effective ways to see as many sights as possible in a short time and without breaking the bank is to go on a free walking tour. Nearly every city you visit will have one, and they all have the same format. You sign up, meet a tour group someplace public, and a guide takes you through as many as 15 landmarks all in a few hours. And it’s absolutely free. You won’t be able to spend much time in any one place, but you’ll get a feel for the city and figure out which sights you’ll want to come back to. (Just be prepared to tip your tour guide.)
Want to get a feel for the tastes, scents, culture, and people of a new city? Pop by a market. These will be full of local color. You can get souvenirs, fresh foods, and maybe even some free samples. You’ll also be able to meet locals to ask for recommendations, or just to hang out with—as markets are generally full of people.
Now that you’ve gotten yourself a baguette or whatever at your local market, where should you take it? Why, to a park, of course! Like markets, they’re free and full of locals, sometimes even having free concerts to listen to while you lounge. It’s a great, relaxing thing to do when you’re in a new city and, did we mention it’s free?

There are lots of opportunities for work as yacht or boat crew so that you sail for free in the Caribbean, around Europe and America. And experience is not usually necessary as training is given. You’ll have an amazing experience.
