Darwin’s finches are the bird that inspired the famous scientist to develop the principle of natural selection. They are probably one of the fastest evolving vertebrata in the world, and you can spot 13 different species in the archipelago.

Santa Cruz is one of the main islands in the Galapagos. It caters to tourist needs and is a good place to start to get your bearings.
