With many modern buildings and temples scattered around the city, Guangzhou is the perfect mix of old and new, but did you know this Chinese city is also filled with many kid-friendly attractions? Some of the very best are part of the Guangzhou Chimelong Tourist Resort and you can visit them if you want to have fun with your entire family.

Chimelong Paradise

Family trips are incomplete without a visit to an amusement park, and Chimelong Paradise is one of the largest in all of China. It’s home to over 60 attractions, including some of the wildest rollercoasters you’ll ever see.

Chimelong Water Park

If your idea of fun happens to be spending a day in an enormous water park, this attraction covers 450 acres and you’ll get to enjoy many colorful slides and tubing rides during your visit.

Chimelong Safari Park

Just like every major city, Guangzhou is home to a city zoo, but there’s one attraction that’s even more popular with animal lovers. Wildlife-themed experiences at Chimelong Safari Park are a huge hit with tourists who enjoy being around exotic animals.

Chimelong Birds Park

If a visit to a safari park sounds too extreme because you prefer more peaceful experiences, such as birdwatching, you’ll find everything your heart desires at Chimelong Birds Park.

If you find yourself traveling in a big city, a metro system will likely be your biggest ally in getting around relatively easily and inexpensively.

Do you love metro systems as we do? Well, you have to travel around the world to check out these systems, the biggest and most extensive ones on the planet.

Shanghai Metro (China)

The Shanghai Metro is the most extensive on Earth, covering 420 miles and with 345 total stations. It’s no surprise that the world’s second-most populous city would have such a huge system.

Beijing Subway (China)

The Beijing Subway is nearly as extensive as the Shanghai system, and it even has more riders on an annual basis, with 3.8 billion annual riders. It’s a gargantuan system and is essential for navigating the Chinese capital.

Guangzhou Metro (China)

This relatively new system, which opened in 1997, covers nearly 300 total miles. This metro system is modern, and slick, helping yet another massive Chinese city’s residents get around with relative ease.

London Underground (United Kingdom)

The Tube is the fourth-largest metro system in the world. With classic phrases such as “Mind the Gap!” already embedded in world pop culture, The Underground has 270 stations that cover 250 total miles of tracks.
