]]>Just outside of Cleveland in Ohio’s Cuyahoga Valley National Park, this historic railroad offers passengers a front row seat to an impressive display of hickories and oaks. Come fall, the trees burst into a tapestry of rich autumnal colors, typically peaking toward the end of October. The line even has special dome cars with floor-to-ceiling windows for optimal foliage gazing.
Renowned as the world’s first mountain-climbing cog railway, this line provides passengers with a unique perspective as it ascends to the summit of Mount Washington in New Hampshire. Views from the railway are spectacular year-round, but are even more beautiful when the leaves start to change.
West of the Mississippi, the historic Georgetown Loop Railroad winds between former mining towns Georgetown and Silver Plume at heights of up to 600 feet. While perhaps not for the faint of heart, the journey does offer some truly incredible foliage views for those who don’t mind venturing to such altitudes. The line even hosts fall-themed events throughout the season such as a Fall Colors Train and a Pumpkinfest ride!

]]>This peaceful university town of under 10,000 residents is located southwest of Cleveland and features a walkable, charming downtown area. The campus of Oberlin College, the Allen Memorial Art Museum, and the Oberlin Heritage Center are all sports worth checking out!
Lake Erie is the natural gem of the northeast Ohio region, and Put-in-Bay is arguably its best town. Are you in Cleveland and looking to get away from the hustle and bustle? Rocky River, a quaint suburb located southwest of the city, is a great town to check out. Beautiful lakeside houses and beaches are part of the charm of this little community.

]]>College athletics are all about passion, and if you want to check out a stadium for yourself, here are four passionate and loud stadiums that I recommend visiting.
The home stadium of the LSU Tigers is known for having some of the most electric crowds on the planet. Most games are hosted at night. Believe it or not, a seismograph at a university laboratory near the stadium once recorded a false earthquake due to the crowd noise during a game!
Located in the tranquil Pacific Northwest, the home stadium of the Oregon Ducks is anything but calm. Holding only 54,000 spectators, this stadium’s unique sunken bowl design traps in crowd noise that is simply overpowering for opposing teams.
Neyland Stadium hosts the University of Tennessee Volunteers and offers one of the most unique gameday experiences in college football. Many of the stadium’s 102,455 fans arrive at the stadium by boat on the Tennessee River and host pre-game parties on their vessels!
The Ohio State Buckeyes’ stadium is one of the biggest in the country, hosting 104,944 spectators. Buckeye fans are some of the most rabid in the country, and they go absolutely wild every time their team scores a touchdown.
