]]>Stepping foot in Quebec is like entering a world where old-world charm meets modern sophistication. The province boasts a captivating blend of cobblestone streets, iconic architecture, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The city of Quebec City itself is a treasure trove of history and culture. Visit the majestic Château Frontenac, explore the historic Plains of Abraham, or indulge in the culinary delights of local bistros and cafes.
Beyond the city, Quebec’s natural wonders beckon you to explore. The Laurentian Mountains offer a picturesque backdrop for outdoor enthusiasts, with opportunities for hiking, skiing, and snowboarding. Explore Montmorency Falls, an awe-inspiring waterfall taller than Niagara Falls, or venture to the idyllic Charlevoix region, renowned for its scenic beauty and charming villages.

]]>Nowhere in Québec says Christmas more than the Place de l’Hôtel-de-Ville. The Place (Place used here meaning the French word for “Square,”) has a little Christmas shop known as Boutique de Noël that appears to have taken over entirely with lights and decorations in every corner. Be sure to check out the German Christmas Market for some local, handmade art and a warm beverage.
This street was voted Canada’s Favorite in 2014, and for good reason. It’s incredibly quaint, even more so around the holiday season. See the church and stop into some of the local shops, or simply take a stroll and soak it all in.
Le Château Frontenac is probably the most well-known landmark in Québec. It’s a beautiful, grand hotel and even non-guests are welcome to stop by to see the exquisite holiday decorations. Every year outside of the Château a toboggan run is held where thrill-seekers can expect to reach speeds of over 40 miles an hour!

]]>At this time of year, the snow has not yet started to settle and the hot summer sun has had its final days. The remaining days of tolerable weather result in the leaves of the trees turning fiery colors. Located near one of Quebec’s most popular natural parks, the view from Hotel Valcartier is magnificent. The hotel is close enough to Quebec City to be accessible but at the same time, its unique location provides escape from city life.
The highlight of a fall time stay at Valcartier is the Bora waterpark. The indoor park is designed to help guests feel like they are in a tropical location. There are more than a dozen water slides and a whole bunch of other surprises. At this time of year, the park is typically less busy which means no queuing and more hours of fun.
Equally memorable is the Valcartier spa. A range of packages is available and for just $20, you can get access to the thermal spa. This includes a sauna, hot tub, indoor and outdoor pool, and relaxation areas. You can also take a dunk in ice-cool waters to clear your mind and revitalize your body.
If you’re looking for a mini getaway in Quebec, Hotel Valcartier offers something for everyone. If you’re not a fan of water parks, it won’t be long before the ice hotel opens along with a large host of winter activities.

]]>Parc Omega is a safari park which is rich in nature and is home to many Canadian wildlife species, such as wolves, bears, deer, bison, coyote, red fox etc.

Visitors can drive through the park on a 15 km long winding trail, or they can enjoy the breath-taking nature by walking on two walking trails: The Colonization Trail and The First Nations Trail. But that is not all! The best part is that you can make the first contact with the animals, you can pet them, feed them, but only with carrots that you can purchase at the Parc Omega. The “safe” animals will come to you or your car without shame nor fair.

The place is open all-year-long and, depending to the season, it offers various programs for the visitors. For example, in the summer there are shows featuring birds and in winter you can have a lifetime experience riding a horse-drawn wagon.
Except for wild animals, you can also see small and large farm animals, museums, and trading posts houses.
