One of the best things about fall travel photos is all the beautiful fall foliage you get in the frame, but there are some places in the world that are yellow all year long. If you’re looking forward to finding them, start by visiting these three radiant buildings.

Convento de San Antonio (Izamal, Mexico)

The small town of Izamal in the Mexican state of Yucatán is known by the nickname the “yellow city,” because it’s home to several yellow buildings. Convento de San Antonio is one of the most popular, and it’s regularly appearing in Instagram posts from this city.

Pena Palace (Sintra, Portugal)

Sintra is home to some of Portugal’s most beautiful palaces, including the Pena Palace. Its walls were gloomy and gray for years before being restored to their original beauty. It’s now instantly recognizable thanks to its red and yellow façade, but the yellow color is definitely the most dominant.

Granada Cathedral (Granada, Nicaragua)

If you ever find yourself in Nicaragua, Granada is one of the cities you should check out. Before exploring the amazing nature that surrounds it, make sure to take a stroll through its old town, and check out this neoclassical cathedral that can be spotted from each corner of the city.

While exploring big cities in Europe is always exciting, we can’t deny that small towns across the continent have a certain charm that makes them irresistible. Here are some of our favorite ones.

Sintra, Portugal

Sintra seriously looks like a fantasy kingdom, and it’s located just outside Lisbon, so you can easily visit it from Portugal’s capital. There is an awesome Gothic national palace, and plenty of cobblestone streets you can walk on.

Bruges, Belgium

They call Bruges the “Venice of the North,” because of its many canals, which make it look like a fairytale. The place is packed with incredible medieval architecture and will make you feel like you went back through time.

Cefalù, Italy

What’s not to like about this picturesque town? There’s a 12th-century cathedral right above the main square, where you can find cafes and shops with a perfect offer for tourists. When you get bored, go exploring the stone streets in the old neighborhood.
