The streets of Warsaw, Poland, will take care of you if you are hungry. The city is full of small eateries, food stalls, and food carts that offer both popular international and local street food dishes. Here is some of the best street food you should try while in Warsaw, Poland.

Pierogi

A classic staple of Polish cuisine, pierogi are available both as a specialty in restaurants and as quick eats on the streets. The dish is a European take on dumplings, consisting of unleavened dough filled with savory or sweet ingredients and boiled in water.

Zapiekanka

If you are a pizza purist, you might find Zapiekanka blasphemy. But everyone else shouldn’t miss out on this intriguing dish. Zapiekanka is basically a baguette that has been sliced lengthwise and topped with cheese and other pizza toppings before being finished off in an oven and splashed with ketchup or mayo.

Mushroom Sandwich

A mushroom sandwich, known as bulka z pieczarkam, is made by taking the middle out of a bread roll and replacing it with cooked mushrooms and onions. Simple but delicious.

Cream Horns

For dessert, you should get cream horns aka Rurka z kremem. A flaked or puff pastry is shaped into a horn and then filled with jam or other sweet fillings before being topped with whipped cream.

It’s pretty easy to be adventurous in Warsaw, Poland. The city is filled with all sorts of hidden gems that you won’t find in the official guidebooks but that are well worth your time. Check them out below.

Pinball Station

Retro gamers and antique enthusiasts probably won’t want to leave Pinball Station once they get here. The establishment calls itself Poland’s first “Interactive Pinball Museum” and is home to more than 150 pinball machines and arcade games. Many of them are restored and in working condition, allowing the visitors to test them out.

Keret House

Okay, you’ll probably find some tourist guide mentioning Keret House, but this unusual attraction still manages to fly under the radar of many foreign visitors. Designed by architect Jakub Szczęsny, Keret House is considered the world’s narrowest house. The two-floor building is 4.99 feet wide at most but still has a living area, one bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom.

Neon Muzeum

Visiting Warsaw is the perfect opportunity to check out one of the world’s few museums dedicated to neon signs. Neon Muzeum, located in Minsk street, contains signs from different eras in the country’s history, although the majority dates back to the ’60s and ’70s. The permanent collection contains more than 100 signs.

It’s pretty much impossible to find a European capital without a couple of opulent palaces, and Warsaw is no exception to this rule. Beautiful castles and palaces can be found in every corner of the Polish capital, and here are three that you shouldn’t miss for the world while exploring it.

The Royal Castle

One of the first attractions that come to mind when someone mentions Warsaw, the Royal Castle is one of the city’s timeless symbols. It’s now home to an amazing art museum and it went through many changes over the years, being reconstructed from Gothic to Mannerist-Baroque style.

Palace On the Isle

Royal Baths Park is the largest park that Warsaw has in store, and you’ll stumble upon an opulent palace while exploring it. The royal family once inhabited this beautiful building with landscaped gardens, lavish rooms, and an impressive art collection.

Krasiński Palace

The powerful and influential Krasiński family erected one of Warsaw’s most beautiful baroque palaces all the way in the 17th century. It was heavily renovated after the damage done by WWII, and its ornate façade and formal gardens look more splendid than ever in the present day.

If you’re looking for a fun urban destination to give you the proper European experience without having to dig too deep into your pocket, consider Poland. The Central European country, and its capital in particular, has been gaining increasing popularity as a tourist destination in the past few years.

Warsaw, Poland, is a great way to enjoy all the European charm of the large capitals like Madrid and Berlin with the affordability of non-western countries. The low costs of accommodation, food, and shopping in the area open the door to guilt-free traveling. There’s literally no catch! The city offers historical landmarks, tasty restaurants, cafés, bars, nightclubs, and incredible shopping malls. What else can you ask for?

Other than Warsaw, there are many other locations in Poland that are worth visiting if you’re into exploring the country a little further. Krakow, one of Poland’s largest cities, is a wonderful option, with its stunning architecture and rich culture. Other attractive options are the historical Malbork Castle, the Tatra National Park, and the picturesque town of Zakopane, which is a popular winter getaway destination. With so many different options, Poland’s got something for everyone.

The renewed capital of Poland is branding itself as a fashion capital, attracting many low-cost travelers for a few days long shopping trip or even for a 24-hour express shopping trip. Depending on demand, travel companies also sell dedicated shopping packages for this destination.

In Warsaw, you will find up-to-date, large and numerous shopping centers, outlets, and affordable prices all year round.

This is a great destination if you want to spend days shopping for clothing, cosmetics, toiletries, and footwear. There’s a reason why tourists travel to Warsaw several times a year for just this purpose.

The city has a large number of malls and the recommended ones are the large and spectacular “Zlote Tarasy” mall in the city center which is conveniently located and offers an excellent selection of shops, “Arkadia”, one of the largest and most beloved malls in Eastern Europe, “Blue City”, a large and luxurious mall (with 230 stores!), and a large Decathlon store, located next to the “Atrium Reduta” mall.

If you want to shop in Warsaw, make sure to make extra space in your suitcase to carry all your new clothes, products, and shoes!

One of the hottest countries in Europe that has emerged as a tourist destination in recent years is Poland. This Eastern European country has a collection of sites to see, and an enviable repertoire of cities that more and more people are discovering.

Here are three Polish cities that you should absolutely go visit.

Krakow

This southern Polish city is arguably one of the most beautiful cities in all of Europe. With a bustling Old Town that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as a variety of historical and religious landmarks, Krakow is a city that you definitely must put on your list.

Gdansk

Did you know that Poland has a major city located on the ocean? Well, it’s true, and Gdansk’s location on the Baltic Coast gives it a unique vibe that you won’t find in the country’s other cities. The influence of nearby Germany and the Baltic States give this city of 466,000 a unique cultural vibe that you are sure to adore.

Warsaw

Poland’s capital and largest city of Warsaw might have seen a lot of its historical landmarks destroyed during World War II, but this city has risen from the ashes and become one of the most fascinating cities in Europe. The Presidential Palace and Royal Castle are must-visits here.

When talking about European capitals, Warsaw is rarely the first city that comes to one’s mind. But people who know it and have visited it consider the city one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. It is a great metropolis that’s slowly but certainly becoming the center of Eastern Europe.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bl0Wbz9AKSX/

With more than 1.7 million residents, it is the capital city of Poland, but it’s also the economic and cultural center of the region.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BhfdA8Th-sO/

Positioned on the Vistula River, the city is famous for its architecture and beauty. The art and architecture of the city tells a visual story of the rich history and importance in the times past. Warsaw mixes three dominant styles – the classical, the soviet and the modern, creating a rather distinctive look.

This is the perfect city to roam and walk, especially the historical old town that is located in the heart of Warsaw.

There are many sites that should be visited in the city center including the museum of the Warsaw Uprising, the Center for Modern Art and many more that we will leave to you to discover – wherever you go, you won’t make a mistake!

Similar to the Czech Republic, Warsaw has a great drinking culture so visiting the local bars is mandatory for the more adventurous travelers.

The Old Continent is full of places that you have to visit at least once in your life. If you are interested in affordable travel, these are the cheapest cities in Europe to check out in 2019.

Krakow, Poland

Krakow still leads the list of cheapest European cities thanks to the very affordable prices of hotels, restaurants, shops and so much more. This town is a true magnet for tourists not only because of the low cost, but also because of the multiple attractions.

Vilnius, Lithuania

Lithuania might not sound as popular as Spain or Italy, but it is equally amazing. Vilnius is a completely affordable city which you have to write down on your must-visit list.

Riga, Latvia

Riga might be a little further from all the other destinations in your bucket list, but you should consider making a detour. It is an inexpensive location with great attractions.

Warsaw, Poland

Warsaw and Krakow share almost the same prices when it comes to hotels, foods, and drinks. That’s why tourists are obsessed with the capital of Poland.

Budapest, Hungary

Aside from being one of the most beautiful cities, Budapest is also one of the cheapest in Europe. This stunning destination has so much to offer. Let’s start with the magical Parliament, Chain Bridge, Fisherman’s Bastion and many more.

With more than 1.7 million residents, it is the capital city of Poland, but it’s also the economic and cultural center of the region.
