Slovakia is one of Europe’s most underrated countries, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised by its natural beauty if you pay it a visit. This country is known for being home to many amazing caves, and here are three that you shouldn’t miss for the world while exploring it.

Demänovská Caves

There are two caves under the name Demänovská, and they’re both equally fantastic. Demänovská Cave of Liberty is Slovakia’s most visited attraction of its kind, and it’s best known for its underground lakes and colorful rock formations. Demänovská Ice Cave is located nearby and it will rock your world with its cold and icy interior.

Belianska Cave

Belianska is the largest cave in the Tatra mountains, and the only one currently open to the public. It was once used in pre-historic times, and you can join a guided tour to explore its rich history and the beautiful lakes it has in store.

Domica Cave

The biggest cave in the Slovak Karst formation, Domica is truly a sight to behold. Paying it a visit is a truly unique experience because its size is so massive that you can even take boat rides on the underground river Styx.
