People who don’t know much about the Northeast region of America have likely heard of New York City as the city that never sleeps, a concrete jungle, home of Broadway, and much more. But it should be noted that Manhattan is a mere fraction of the entire state of New York. Due to NYC’s all-encompassing fame, so much of the rest of the state often gets ignored by those who don’t know much about it. However, Upstate New York has some of the most beautiful nature in the country, and should definitely be visited.

Quaint, Beautiful Towns

There are a handful of cozy towns all over the Northern region of New York State. It’s just that no one really talks about them, and the dwellers who live there are pretty fine with that. Not unlike those who live quietly in the midwest, people who live in Upstate New York towns such as Saratoga Springs, Ithaca, and Lake Placid enjoy the more quiet life of the countryside.

Scenic Routes

You’re not required to visit the cities of Upstate New York in order to enjoy its beauty. Even if you happen to be on a road trip in passing, you can enjoy the scenic views that this region of the state has to offer, such as the Adirondack Mountains. Indeed, a few hours in this area should be more than enough to convince you that NYC is far from the only eye-popping attraction of New York.
