The Best Vegan Spots in Vienna

There are several locations around the globe that are widely regarded as top destinations for vegan travelers. Berlin, Tel Aviv, and New York are famous for having some of the best animal product-free food in the world and a greater number of offerings than many other cities, but did you know that Vienna, Austria is also a hotspot for the plant-based food scene? Here are a few of our favorite spots:

Pizzi’s & Cream

Not only is everything at this pizza shop incredible, but most of the ingredients used are also organic and the dough used to make their wood-fired crust undergoes a 48-hour fermentation process to make it more easily digestible. You can’t go wrong with any of their pizzas, but we love the spinach and Greek varieties.

Veganista Ice Cream

Another shop that uses organic ingredients as much as possible, Veganista is owned by two sisters with a passion for veganism and for ice cream. They have 12 locations around the city and offer 18 flavors every day. The blueberry lavender and matcha are our favorites.

Tian Bistro

If you’re looking for a more upscale dining experience while in Vienna, be sure to make a reservation at Tian Bistro. Come hungry and enjoy the chef’s tasting menu full of seasonal dishes that highlight fresh, local ingredients.
