The Perfect Way To Get Through a 10-Hour Flight

Everyone’s different, and when it comes to most things in life, we’d never say that there’s one solution for everyone. Such is certainly the case with getting through a long flight. We all have ways of getting through them to the best of our abilities, and it all comes down to proper time management. This article isn’t for someone who already knows how to get through a flight with ease. This is for someone who could use a good recommendation for how to do it. Here’s our step by step approach.

The First Few Hours

When you first get settled in your seat, it’s time to check out what movies are available. Don’t be afraid to go through the entire catalog, cause let’s be real, you’ve got the time. When you’ve narrowed it down to two or three movies you may want to watch, feel free to start it as the plane takes off. But this is a misdirection, because you don’t actually intend on watching it right now. You intend on falling asleep to your first movie. So the first few hours will actually be spent sleeping.

The Middle Hours

Once you’ve woken up from your three-hour nap (ideally), you can now watch your movie. This should take up a solid two hours. When you’re done, if you’re feeling the momentum, go for another movie. This is no time to get on your moral high horse about the problems of binging.

The Final Stretch

If you’re able to watch two movies, you’re in great shape. You’ve really only got three hours left in the flight, and you can use that time reading, watching a TV show perhaps, doing some creative work, resting some more, or perhaps even looking out the window and reflecting. The last few hours of your flight are a bit of a wild card, so just relax and see what you’re in the mood for. Before you know it, you’ll be there!
