Theater Lovers Have to Check Out the Museum of Broadway in NYC

New York City has a little something for everyone. For those who enjoy the outdoors, Central Park and its picturesque lanes beckon, while creatives will always find something happening in Soho. The city is famous for its shopping, food, public transport, fast pace, and, of course, Broadway.

There are 41 professional theaters located in the Theater District, with millions of tourists attending shows every year. It isn’t always easy to score a seat, but theater lovers can still satiate their appetite for the arts by attending the Museum of Broadway.

The museum was originally set to open in 2020 but was delayed until November 2022 due to COVID-19. More than 300 years of Broadway history are covered in the space that spans 26,000 square feet, with the founders describing it as “an immersive, experiential way to tell Broadway’s story using art and technology.”

Through self-guided tours, visitors will learn about the early days of theater in NYC and how the district made its way from the Financial District to Times Square, as well as what it takes to put together a Broadway show behind the scenes.

The Museum of Broadway can be found at 145 West 45th Street.
