Traveling during the winter can be lots of fun, especially if you enjoy cold weather activities such as skiing and snowboarding. If you’re going to be in Canada and are looking for a place to have some fun on the slopes, here are some of the country’s best ski resorts to visit.

Whistler Blackcomb

The largest ski resort in North America with the dazzling Whistler Village its base, Whistler Blackcomb has something for everyone. The numbers tell the story of the vast scale of this resort: five terrain parks, over 150 features, 90 rails, over 40 jumps, and a PEAK 2 PEAK gondola more than three kilometers in length that has breathtaking views. It’s a must-see destination.

Lake Louise Ski Resort

Located less than an hour from Banff at the heart of the Rockies, Lake Louise Ski Resort is one of Canada’s most famous. It has approximately 4,200 acres of skiable terrain, with a combination of alpine bowls, steeps, chutes, and lots of groomed runs for the little ones.

Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort

Another one of the best-known ski resorts in Canada, Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort is located in Banff National Park, close by to Lake Louise Ski Resort, making it easy to fit both in on one trip. With more than 50 percent of the runs at an intermediate level, this is a great place to visit for skiers who aren’t beginners but also aren’t too advanced just yet.
