Traveling on a budget can be really hard sometimes, but that doesn’t mean you’ll have to skip all the good places and sites. Every city offers fun for little to no money, and here is a short list of things Sydney has to offer.

Free Festivals

Sydney is host to many festivals, and many of them are free of charge. Sydney Festival, the Vivid Light Festival, Sculptures by the Sea, Mardi Gras and Good Food Month are just a handful of the numerous festivals you can catch.

Wendy’s Secret Garden

Wendy was a widow who managed to channel her grief into creating something beautiful. She made this park in Lavender Bay as a sanctuary after she lost her husband, Australian artist Brett Whiteley. The park is a great way to escape the loud city and to enjoy nature, calming your mind.

Museum of Contemporary Art

Located in the heart of the city, this museum is free to visit and you will be able to see lots of the permanent collections. The Harbour Bridge, The Rocks and the Opera House are its neighbors, so you may walk around too!
