This Tokyo Restaurant Will Serve Personalized 3-D Printed Sushi

We can never say no to a portion of delicious sushi. While there are so many places around the world where you can get it, there’s one restaurant in Tokyo that’s ready to take things to the next level. Sushi Singularity is about to introduce a new way to serve sushi—by 3-D printing your meal to suit your specific health requirements.

How will they do this? In order to get your DNA analysis on time, you need to make a reservation first. You will then receive a health test kit that will be used to compute your health ID. The restaurant, in collaboration with a startup called Open Meals, will then 3-D print your perfect sushi!

“Hyper-personalisation will become common for future foods. Based on DNA, urine, and intestinal tests, people will each have individual health IDs,” reads the Open Meals website. “This identity is analyzed, and nutritional matching is performed to match nourishment needs with biometrics, thus the person is automatically provided with the optical diet,” explained the brand.

It’s very exciting to see where the new technologies can lead us. Would you try their 3-D printed sushi? What do you think about this new way to make food?
