This Travel Blogger Quit a Cushy Day Job and Hit the Road

Alice Yeh’s Instagram bio captures the essence of travel blogging. “Searching the world for cultural curiosities to share with everyone,” shares her tag. Known online as Alice in Wandererland, Yeh has dedicated the past couple of years to sharing her experiences with others. “Since I like to do things a little differently from other people, I’ve always managed to find ways to go against the grain,” she adds on her blog.

Indeed, Yeh knows a thing or two about “going against the grain.” In 2018, she decided to quit a cushy job at Google to pursue her traveling dreams—a dramatic step that most of us can only dream of. “I wanted a change of pace from the corporate life,” she writes. “I used this break to travel (shocking I know!), learn Spanish, and become a certified yoga teacher. During this time off, I also started this blog as a pet project so we’ll see where this goes.”

A yogi, foodie, adventurer, Yeh has visited 50 countries so far, and is still counting. Her documentations also include traveling advice and restaurant recommendations. In fact, she has a second Instagram account dedicated to food only.

Naturally, with traveling being nearly impossible these last months, Yeh needed to slow things down. But thinking out of the box was never hard for this young adventurer. “Goodbye July! Hello August!” she writes in a recent Instagram post, “I don’t know what this next month will bring but it’s been a helluva ride this year. I’m ready for any curveball 2020 decides to throw at us again. Let’s see where this road of life can take us!”

We’re ready to take the road with you!
