Tips for Long-Haul Flights

Traveling is rarely comfortable. You’d be hard-pressed to find a person who likes to sit on an airplane for hours with crying babies, sneezing strangers, and little legroom. But it’s much, much harder when you’re on a long-haul flight for ten, 15, or even 20 hours. So here are some tips to help you survive.

Pack Smart

Having headphones, a travel charger, comfortable socks, a travel pillow, lip balm, moisturizer, and an eye mask with you on your carry-on will make things much easier for you so you can be as entertained and comfortable as possible.

Dress the Part

Maybe you can get away with wearing jeans or a button-up shirt on a short flight, but it just won’t do on a long-haul. So put on your comfiest pants, a cozy, warm sweater, and plenty of layers to keep you as physically comfortable as possible.

Get Up

Your body isn’t likely to enjoy sitting all folded up for long periods of time. Do yourself a favor and try to get your blood flowing at least a few times during your flight. Just get up, walk around, and do some light stretching. But, of course, only when the fasten seatbelt sign is off!
