Travel has changed a lot over the past two years. Before the coronavirus pandemic, things were quite different than they are now in the travel industry. The trends are always changing, but it seems like they are more drastic than ever. Here’s what to expect when it comes to 2022 vacation trends.

Low Travel

Traveling “low,” in other words, using transport that’s low to the ground, is very popular. Unlike airplanes, trains, ferries, and cars are easier to physically distance from a lot of strangers. When you travel by ferry, you get to board your own car so you can ride to the destination.

Staycations

Staying at home and exploring nearby places is a great substitute for a traditional vacation. With people not knowing what to think about the pandemic anymore, staycations are more popular than ever. Those who do decide to leave the city will probably do it carefully, avoiding crowds.

3G Travel

Three-generation travel or 3G travel is a consequence of families being separated for a long time because of Covid. It won’t be rare to see children, parents, and grandparents all spending time together while discovering new places.

Slow Travel

Travel is definitely slowing down. Most people don’t rush from landmark to landmark but choose to explore and enjoy the maximum of each destination. Connecting with new places, taking everything in, and traveling meaningfully are the most important.
