Travel Around the World with a Virtual Reality Headset

We are starting to see some positive signs in the fight against COVID-19, and the thought of traveling in the near future doesn’t look so crazy now. However, the most prudent and common thing remains staying at home, and it’s completely normal if you are dying to see new places.

One way to get your travel fix while staying at home is with virtual reality tours, something that is made even more fun, immersive, and interactive with the help of a VR headset.

Virtual reality is becoming more and more commonplace to find, and plenty of tourist attractions have spent the past year or so uploading virtual tours of their spots that can be seen using VR devices.

Headsets, available from companies such as Oculus at a price point ranging between $300 and $500, are still a relatively new market addition but a great investment for all kinds of applications in the future.

Virtual travel is one of my favorite things to use a VR headset for, as it completely immerses you in the sights and sounds of a different place, all from the comfort of your own home.

Would you give travel through a virtual reality headset a try?
