Travel Expectations Vs. Reality

“Things are not always what they seem” is an advice you should always consider, especially if you want to travel to some really popular touristic destination. What you see online vs. reality can sometimes be disappointing, so keep this in mind when you visit the following mega popular places.

Stonehenge

This is one of those mysterious sites that almost everyone wants to visit. Once you get there, you will realize that Stonehenge is actually pretty small and the sheer amount of people who decided to visit in the same time as you is overwhelming and might prevent you from fully enjoying the sight.

Venice

Venice is the heart of Italy and supposedly the place where romance is celebrated every day. In reality, there will be nothing more than you, millions of other tourists, the scorching sun and endless lines to get anywhere.

The Great Wall of China

This one is truly a masterpiece and a must-see if you ever find yourself in China. But, keep in mind that even though the wall is over 15,000 km long, it is still packed with tourists at all times. When you get on the wall, keep your water bottle near at all times and try not to get lost in the sea of visitors.
