National parks are not something to miss out on. Hiking, picnicking, and witnessing how grand nature is are all part of the adventure! With most international travel having been banned during the past two years, there has been a massive increase in tourism at national parks. Here are three that are definitely worth a visit.

Bond Falls Scenic Site

Michigan is home to this glorious waterfall which measures 50 meters in height. If you’re a fan of hiking, trails lead to and from the Bond Falls, and there is a picnic area above. But if being atop a waterfall is not really your vibe, don’t worry—there is walkway that extends across the river, below the base of the falls, that is the perfect spot for viewing the majesty of the falls.

Avenue of the Giants

California is full of highways, but none, arguably, are as peaceful as this one. Named Avenue of the Giants because of the coastal redwoods that tower over the route, it can be found in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. The road even features a tree that visitors can drive through called Shrine Drive-Thru Tree which is definitely cooler than a car wash!

Waimea Canyon State Park

Located in Hawaii, the Waimea Canyon State Park has been nicknamed the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific”. Translating from Hawaiian as “reddish water”, Waimea is all the more unique because the canyon was formed not only through erosion, but also by the collapse of the volcano that created Kauaʻi.
