Enduring a long flight can be a challenge in itself, but things only get more difficult when you have to wear a face mask. They’re mandatory or highly recommended on most flights for your own and other passengers’ safety, and here’s how you can make the experience of wearing a face covering up in the air more bearable.
Prepare Yourself
Many people are required to work with their masks on, proving that wearing one for hours on end isn’t a mission impossible. If that’s not the case with you, try to prepare for this experience by wearing a mask for longer than you’re used to, especially if you’re embarking on a long-haul flight.
Perfect Mask
Before boarding a plane, make sure you’re there with a comfortable and breathable mask that fits you just right. Cloth masks are best replaced with lightweight and disposable surgical masks when it comes to flying, but it’s also important not to experiment with new models you haven’t tried before.
Perfect Plan
The longer you’re flying, the more time you’ll spend wearing a face mask, so try to make your flight as short as possible. Long-haul flights are best avoided unless necessary, especially if you have long layovers in between.
