While it’s not one of the most popular cities for tourists to visit in the United States, Reno, Nevada is still a great place on the west coast to check out. Known as the Biggest Little City in the World and conveniently located on many different road trip paths, you’ll be happy should you find yourself there. Here are some things to do during your visit.
Mount Rose Ski Resort
If you’re visiting Reno during the winter and enjoy snow sports, a stop by the Mount Rose Ski Resort 20 miles away from downtown is a must. Obviously, it’s a great way to spend the day if you want to ski or snowboard, but it’s also great just for sledding or enjoying the beautiful scenery. Try to schedule your trip for a weekday if you want to avoid the crowds.
Nevada Museum of Art
The only accredited art museum in Nevada, the Nevada Museum of Art is a can’t-miss for anybody who loves art and history. Between the Permanent Collection, the Contemporary Collection, and the Center for Art + Environment, there’s something for everybody’s interests. Plus, there’s a spectacular city skyline view on offer.
