Australia Isn’t a Place To Visit For Just a Few Days

Australia is one of the most sought-after destinations in the entire world, and for good reason. It has some of the most natural beauty you’ve ever seen, with tender landscapes and colorful mountains galore. From a cultural perspective, it’s one of the most influential countries in the world, made even more impressive by the fact that it nonchalantly hangs out “down under”, away from most of the world. However, if you’re thinking about visiting there, don’t expect to do so in a half a week.

It’s Further Than You Think

In most global maps, Australia is shown in the bottom right corner, far away, but not necessarily a ridiculous length. Let’s just say that the true nature of its distance from the majority of the Western World isn’t something that many people take into consideration when planning a trip. And believe us when we say that it’s very, very far (and forget about New Zealand!). If you live in Europe, it’ll take a full 24-hour cycle just to get there. If you’re in America, even longer—a good day and a half.

In other words, the trip itself will be long and brutal, so not only will that take up a good chunk of your trip, but you’ll want to get your time’s worth when you’re there as well. Australia isn’t the kind of place you visit in a week. We recommend setting aside at least two or three weeks to enjoy Australia to the fullest—and that’s being conservative.
