Flower Name

According to the traditional folk story, there were beautiful white and yellow flowers that grew in the newly built walls of Intramurs, the 0.67 square kilometers historic walled area also known as Nilad. The woman who picked the flowers couldn’t explain where she got them, so she said “Sa mga may Nilad”. And since then this area’s name become “Sa may Nilad” or today Manila.

Underground Tunnels

In the busiest commercial area there are underground tunnels older than the World War II. They are situated 3.5 meters below street level and wide enough so that a truck could enter.
