There are so many places around the world that are amazing holiday or travel destinations but that are famous for heavy rainfall. Don’t let this put you off, if you are well prepared then you will still have a great time. Don’t forget these essentials.
Waterproof Boots
So many shoes that seem water-resistant won’t hold up in heavy rain. Make sure your footwear is specifically labeled ‘waterproof’, as this will ensure it’s been designed and treated to not let water in.
Waterproof Coat
As above, many ‘raincoats’ are showerproof at best, and as soon as it’s torrentially raining you will get drenched. Look for a coat’s waterproof rating to check if it will be fit for the job.
Waterproof Trousers
While these are a bit of a pain to wear, they make so much difference. A raincoat may be enough for some light showers, but if you’re in heavy rain then having some protection for your legs will be a lifesaver.
Waterproof Gloves
There’s nothing worse than feeling well protected from the rain but having soaking wet and cold hands. Leather gloves are better than nothing, but ideally, you should find some fully waterproof protection for your precious hands.
