No matter where you’re headed, you’ll want to look good once you’ve reached your destination. This means ensuring that the clothes you pack are kept neat while sitting in your bag. Here are some effective ways that you can avoid creasing your clothes when packing for your vacation.

Separate Items

Start by placing each garment in a separate bag so as to prevent the different fabrics from rubbing against one another and causing deep wrinkles. This is particularly important for linen and cotton clothing, and less so for silk, wool, and denim.

Layer Your Clothes

Consider packing your clothes in layers and putting tissue paper between each layer, particularly between more delicate fabrics. This will also help to prevent friction between garments.

Unpack As Soon As Possible

While it may not prevent creases altogether, unpacking as soon as you can at least helps to avoid more chances to crease your clothes. Once you arrive at your hotel, unpack your clothes and put them in the wardrobe in your room.
