Our favorite way to explore a new location is without a doubt on foot. We love wandering through the streets of foreign places, from narrow alleyways of quiet towns to main drags of major cities. Our feet, however, often tend to start protesting after a few hours. To make sure we’re able to keep going and get the most out of our time in a particular place, the first thing we pack is always a pair of comfortable walking shoes. From sneakers to boots, we’ve tried tons of different pairs and found a few that we think are definitely worth investing in whether you’re always on the road or only travel on occasion.

New Balance Fresh Foam Roav

These sneakers are made to be supportive, yet have a clean and stylish design that goes well with a wide variety of outfits. The rubber used to create the sole is manufactured with durability in mind—perfect for everything from concrete to cobblestones.

Blundstone Original Chelsea Boots

For a shoe versatile enough to look cute in the city and stand up to navigating rougher terrains, look no further than Blundstone’s take on the classic Chelsea boot. They’re available in several different colors and will last for years with proper care.

ECCO Soft 7 Sneakers

For a great pair of walking shoes that don’t really look like walking shoes, we love the Soft 7 by Danish shoe brand ECCO. They’re padded for extra comfort and are available in several neutral shades as well as a metallic rose gold color—perfect for anyone looking to travel in style.
