Some call it the city of lights and some the city of love. Yes, we are talking about Paris, the capital of France. Paris is a major European city and a global center for art, fashion, culture and gastronomy.

The gastronomy in France is very developed, and Paris is definitely the place to enjoy it. The city offers a modern, creative and innovative cuisine, where you could eat street food at every corny or rather go for some multidisciplinary restaurants. You could dine in a mini restaurant or in a grocer’s, you could watch professionals chefs cooking, try out new menu sets or even take lessons from a Michelin-starred chef.

There is a ridiculous amount of unbelievable delicious food in Paris and it is so hard to choose. But wait, why should you even choose? Try having all of these when staying in Paris and I promise you, you will be more than happy with your trip.

  1. Baguette – Pain au Chocolat – Croissants
While you’re in Paris, take advantage of all the small typical bakeries and make sure to enjoy their daily baked goods and pastries.
  2. Cheese
You need to have cheese in Paris! You could even combine it with a piece of baguette and this will be your best bite so far (+ a glass of wine). Cheeses from Laurent Dubois are extremely famous and if you’re a cheese-lover, you should definitely stop by.

  3. Macarons
Macarons, the sweet, dedicated meringue-like shell that sandwiches some sort of ganache or buttercream, is said to be invented by Laduree in the early 20th Century. Since then, a lot of brands have started making them, but the ones from Laduree, stay the very best ones. Together with the ones from Pierre Herme, who are also incredibly delicious!

  4. Desserts
Besides the already-mentioned pastries above, Paris is full of amazing desserts. Crepes, Creme Brûlée, Soufflé, Ice-Cream and Chocolate, they will all make you dream.
  5. Fancy Dinner
The food, the wine, the service, the atmosphere, all of it gets to perfection. Go have dinner in a fancy local restaurant, enjoy the delicious French food and spend a lovely night. But you could also do it if you travel with a budget. It does not necessary need to be an expensive restaurant. You could spend a lovely night in a less expensive and real local restaurant as well.
