The capital of North Macedonia is one of Europe’s most underrated capitals, but it’s home to many picture-perfect spots you can’t find anywhere else.
Hotel Senigallia
Skopje’s Hotel Senigallia is impossible to miss, because it’s located in the very heart of the city center, and it looks just like a pirate ship. You don’t have to stay the night to fully enjoy it since there’s also a restaurant on the premises.
Old Bazaar
A trip to Skopje is incomplete without a stroll through its Old Bazaar, where you can buy souvenirs and trinkets from local vendors and take photos of the charming streets with colorful umbrellas.
Millennium Cross
One of the tallest crosses in the world is located on the top of Vodno Mountain, right above the Macedonian capital. In addition to being one of the symbols of Skopje, it’s also one of the best places to get beautiful views of the city.
Matka Canyon
Matka Canyon is located about half an hour outside Skopje, but it’s worth the ride. During your visit, you can check out historic churches and monasteries or Vrelo Cave, take part in several adrenaline-rush activities, or simply sit at one of the restaurants and enjoy the view.
