Camping is ideal for all people who like to be close to nature and want to enjoy a sky full of stars in the woods. But setting a camp isn’t always as easy as it sounds, so here are a few tips that will help you choose your ideal location so you can have your perfect night.
If you decide to camp under trees, make sure there aren’t any thin trees or branches above you. Also, make sure that the ground of the resting area is clear. Many tall trees are extremely tough, with living limbs that will fall only under extreme conditions, so they’re not very dangerous if it’s windy.
Avoid rocky areas. Sometimes the wind can move rocks, but more often deer, bears or coyotes can dislocate them and make a mess of your camp.
Avoid areas where you can meet large mammals. Consult the locals, or even a ranger and other camp lovers for appropriate camping spots. You wouldn’t want your camp to be right in the middle of their route, would you?
