Shampoo Bars for Spill-Free Packing

Who remembers that episode of Friends where Ross returns home from a trip and opens his bag to unpack, only to discover that he’s been the victim of a “major shampoo explosion?!” We’ve all been there, and it can really put a damper on a travel experience, especially if the shampoo has spilled on any objects that can’t be cleaned.

To prevent such explosions and save space in our luggage, we’ve started opting for shampoo bars as an alternative to liquid shampoo when we pack. As an added bonus, they’re also a much more environmentally friendly product if that is important to you. Here are the ones we’ve tried and like most:

Acure Coconut & Argan Shampoo Bar

Formulated with nourishing coconut and argan oils, this bar by natural beauty brand Acure can be used as both a shampoo and body wash substitute. It’s super moisturizing and contains no harsh chemicals or palm oil.

Basin Shampoo Bars

Basin is a brand best known for their bath bombs, but wow, do they make a great shampoo bar. They make several varieties including a bar with tea tree oil formulated for dandruff, one with ginger for shine, and our personal favorite, one with kombucha and vitamin E for damaged hair.

Kitsch Rice Water Protein Shampoo Bar

Rice water protein is a powerhouse ingredient when it comes to hair growth and shine. This shampoo bar has a lovely white tea and mandarin scent and will leave your hair clean, long, and lustrous. We recommend using with the Kitsch Rice Water Protein Conditioner Bar.
