From the beautiful architecture and amazing museums to amazing parks and vibrant food scenes, Lima has something for everyone. If you enjoy discovering spectacular water fountains around the world, this city won’t leave you disappointed since Magic Water Circuit happens to be one of its best attractions.

Safely tucked away in the heart of Lima’s Parque de la Reserva, Magic Water Circuit was first introduced in 2007. There are currently 13 fountains that form this place, which holds the world record for the largest fountain complex in the world.

All the fountains are unique in their own right and many of them happen to be interactive. It’s especially fun to visit them at night when they’ll light up, making the experience even more magical.

Magic Fountain, Fantasy Fountain, Rainbow Fountain, and Harmony Fountain are only some of many attractions that you’ll stumble upon during your visit. Several ornamental fountains are also scattered around Parque de la Reserva, giving this park a classic and historical feel.

Magic Water Circuit can be visited throughout the day, but it’s much better to check it out in the evening. Fountains look more magical once they light up, and there are fun multimedia shows taking place between 7:10 pm and 9:10 pm worth checking out.

Address: Jr. Madre de Dios S/N, Cercado de Lima, Peru

Working Hours: Monday to Sunday, 02:00 pm-10:00 pm

Most people start their journey through Peru from its capital of Lima and this city truly has something in store for everyone. If you can’t imagine going to a new city without exploring its museums, Lima won’t leave you disappointed, especially if you visit these three spots.

Lima Art Museum

If you’re an art lover visiting the capital of Peru and only have enough time for a single museum visit, this is the best possible pick. The impressive art museum housed inside a neo-classical building features an extensive collection of Peruvian art, ranging from the pre-Columbian period to the present day.

Larco Museum

This privately-owned museum was founded by Rafael Larco Herrera, and it will impress you with its collection of pre-Columbian artifacts. It’s home to the largest collection of pre-Columbian erotic pottery in the world, but you can also find ceramics, jewelry, and many other artifacts on its premises.

Gold Museum

If you happen to be a fan of strangely specific museums, you’ll be happy to hear that Lima has one in store. Gold Museum is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the entire city, and it explores the role of the gold trade in the colonization of South America.

Most people start exploring new countries from their capitals, and that also happens to be the case with Peru. Its largest city of Lima is the country’s number one must-see attraction, but these cities and their surroundings also deserve a moment of your time.

Arequipa

Peru’s second most populated city offers a little bit of something to everyone. Architecture enthusiasts will be wowed by its baroque buildings, while nature lovers won’t be able to resist exploring the volcanoes in its surroundings.

Trujillo

Trujillo is often described as Peru’s cultural capital. It’s the birthplace of the popular traditional dance marinera and home to countless cultural events throughout the year.

Cusco

Despite its relatively tiny size in comparison to some other cities in Peru, Cusco is one of its must-see attractions thanks to its rich history. Many ancient sites can be found on its grounds since it once served as the capital of the Inca Empire.

Ica

Fans of architecture will find appreciation for Ica’s religious buildings, but this isn’t the reason why most people visit it. This city became a major tourist attraction thanks to its close proximity to Huacachina, a tiny village built around an oasis with the natural desert lake.

Lima’s historic center is the first place that tourists explore in the Peruvian capital, but the real magic happens once you reach the Pacific coast. The district of Miraflores is one of the city’s most picturesque spots, and it has so much more in store than meets the eye.

What makes Miraflores so interesting is that it has something in store for pretty much everyone—ranging from travelers who just want to sit back and relax, to those who are in the mood for an adventure of a lifetime.

Miraflores is best known for being an upscale district that houses many five-star hotels, restaurants, bars, and high-end stores—but adrenaline junkies will love it just as much. This part of the city is also known as Lima’s prime paragliding destination, and its rocky beaches are equally popular with fans of many water sports.

Miraflores is also home to some of the city’s most picture-perfect tourist attractions. The Park of Love and La Marina Lighthouse are the first that come to mind, but you can also find the clay pyramid Huaca Pucllana and pre-Columbian textile museum Amano in this part of Lima.

Park of Love

Inspired by Barcelona’s Parc Guell, this park is one of Lima’s most picturesque locations thanks to its colorful mosaics carved in stone. It’s also home to Victor Delfín’s sculpture “El Beso,” and it offers some of the most beautiful views in the city thanks to its oceanfront location.

Olive Grove Forest

Olive Grove Forest is one of Lima’s most peaceful natural oasis, and you’ll like it even more once you know the incredible story behind it. All of 1,600 olive trees on its premises grew from only three olive tree saplings brought from Spain to Peru.
