So you have only 24 hours to see what Nashville, Tennessee, is all about? Tough ask but not impossible. Here is how you should spend your time in Nashville if you are only there for a day.

Get a Breakfast at Proper Bagel

Proper Bagel brings a bit of New York City taste to Nashville, but it is an amazing place to get breakfast. They have all sorts of bagels, sandwiches, baked goods, and salads to help you start the day in the right way.

Stop by Belmont Mansion

Belmont Mansion was commissioned by Adelicia Acklen, considered the wealthiest woman in Tennessee in the 19th century. The place was built in a style of an Italian mansion and featured elaborate gardens and a zoo. It had multiple purposes throughout history before being turned into a museum.

Head to the Country Music Hall of Fame

Of course, any visit to Nashville has to be largely based on country music. This is why you should set aside a big chunk of your time to explore the Country Music Hall of Fame and get familiar with the most important names and events in the genre’s history.

Check out Ryman Auditorium and Other Nearby Music Attractions

There are several other music-related attractions nearby the Country Music Hall of Fame to check out. This includes iconic music venue Ryman Auditorium, Johnny Cash Museum, and Nashville Music Garden.

Grab a Bite to Eat at Etch

Downtown Nashville is a great place to grab a bite to eat after exploring the city’s tourist attractions. You should consider Etch, a charming restaurant run by award-winning chef Deb Paquette which offers eclectic dining.

Make a Trip to Grand Ole Opry

You’ll need to take a bus or an Uber to get to Grand Ole Opry, but it is well worth it. It is one of the most iconic music stages that has been staging weekly shows featuring newcomers and established country music stars since 1925. You can catch one of the live shows or take part in daily tours.

Return to Downtown Nashville for a Great Night Out

Downtown Nashville is the place where you can feel the city’s energy at its best. Head there to catch a live show in one of many bars and get a perfect conclusion to your 24 hours in Nashville.

There are certain places in the world that have fancy nicknames, but don’t necessarily back those nicknames up when you go there. Nashville is the exact opposite of that. Known as “Music City”, it completely backs this title up with a foundational culture of live music up the wazoo. If you love live music and you’re wondering whether or not you should go visit Nashville, here’s why you should definitely do it. Spoiler alert: the hype is real.

Live Shows Everywhere

When you arrive in Nashville, the place you want to go to see live music is the main downtown area. The cool thing is that you can go there at any day of the week—not just the weekends—and you’ll be met with an incredible experience. As the night starts to hit the town, you’ll start hearing jangly chords and twangy guitar riffs.

The first bar you walk into, you’ll be excited to see that there’s a cool country band playing on stage. The second bar you walk into, you’ll find another artist performing—perhaps this one’s just a basic open mic. The more bars you walk into, the most astounded you’ll be that there’s a performance going on at nearly every single one.

This is the beauty of Nashville’s live music scene. It’s not just the quality, but the sheer quantity of it as well. The very density of live performances is through the rooftop, and you’ll absolutely have the time of your life.

We’d like to think that almost every tourist that visits Nashville does so because they’re a lover of music. There’s a reason that this Tennessee town is called “Music City”, and it’s not just because it hosts an array of country rock museums, as well the iconic Grand Ole Opry. There’s a lot to unpack in Nashville when it comes to music, which is why you’d better make sure you do this if you go there.

While the historic music museums and the Grand Ole Opry are a huge part of Nashville’s appeal, the heart of Nashville lives on Broadway Street. In the city center, there’s a span of a few blocks that are packed with bar after bar—and we’re not kidding you when we say that there’s always live music playing there.

Even in cities as popping as New York City or Los Angeles, live shows happen pretty often, but it’s nothing close to what you see in Nashville. The rich density of performers—and not just singer-songwriters, but all-out country rock bands—is such that you can easily see up to 10 different bands play in the span of two hours in the middle of a weeknight!

So if you’re in Nashville for a few days, you’d better make sure you spend at least one night on Broadway Street. Walk around, enjoy the lights, grab a drink and something to eat—and most importantly, check out the live music!

If you’re not from North America, chances are you’ve dreamed of traveling to the United States at one point or another. If you’re gearing up for a trip to the States, perhaps you’re trying to decide which cities to visit. The truth is that there are countless amazing cities you can check out, so a list like this is almost impossible to make. However, if you’re looking for a basic overview, here are three North American cities that you just can’t miss.

New York City, New York

The hype is all true when it comes to New York City, for better or worse. It truly is a concrete jungle, and it’s one that you can’t take your eyes off when you’re there. From Times Square to Broadway to the Statue of Liberty, there are so many amazing things to check out in this city.

Los Angeles, California

Los Angeles also lives up to the hype, but not in the way you think. It’s important to know that you’re unlikely to be hanging out with celebrities when you get there, but there are many other attractions to see. Universal Studios is always a treat, and Six Flag’s Magic Mountain is absolutely a thrill. For a classy outdoor mall experience, go to the Grove. There are also beautiful nature hikes you can check out such as Runyon Canyon, made even better by the incredible weather.

Nashville, Tennessee

If you’re a music buff, Nashville is hands down the first place you ought to visit. Aside from all of the historical attractions, such as the Grand Ole Opry and the Johnny Cash Museum, the town square has more live music on a weekday than you’ll ever see in your entire life.

Nashville is one of the most sought-after cities to visit, not just in America, but in the entire world. The reason for this is that it’s considered to be one of the biggest music hubs in the universe, and therefore musicians across the globe flock there like cattle. But does Nashville live up to its reputation of “Music City”, or is it all smoke and mirrors? We’re here to settle the score. It totally and completely lives up to it, and here’s why.

Music City

If you’re a musician who has ever performed live, you know what it’s like to struggle to find gigs. Even in towns where there are plenty of places to play, it can still be hard to get “in” with the right people and to find venues that’ll allow you to perform there. Ultimately, it’s just a numbers game, and frankly, most cities just don’t have that many places to play. Well, except for Nashville, that is.

If you walk through the center of town in Nashville, it’s truly an incredible sight to see! Everywhere you turn is another bar that has a live band playing. On any given night, there can be literally 10 to 15 bands playing within a two-block radius—a statistic that’s mind-boggling to anyone who’s ever had any experience with live music. So if you’re looking to either see live music, or perform it, Nashville is truly the place to be!

If you’re a musician looking to see more live shows, or even find places to perform, you’re probably wondering where the hotspots are. If you grew up in America, there are many cities that offer platforms to get yourself out there, but it’s not always easy to know which are the best. So without further ado, these are three of the best music cities in the United States.

Nashville

Without a doubt, Nashville is one of the best places to live if you’re an aspiring musician. To say they have a thriving music scene is a major understatement. Consider this—while COVID lockdowns were still more or less a thing, there were still countless bars in Nashville where you could watch live music being played. That’s commitment right there.

Los Angeles

The City of Angels is another place in America that you may want to live in if you’re a music person. Home to Hollywood, it’s where most majors stars live and where many movies and shows are filmed. And since music is a big part of the entertainment industry, it doesn’t hurt to be close by.

New York City

There are many music venues in New York City that hold a special place in the hearts of many, from Radio City Music Hall to the Beacon Theater. And even if you’re more into showtunes, NYC has got Broadway as well!

Nashville is one of the most popular tourist destinations in all of America, especially if you’re a lover of music. It’s quite common for these music lovers, especially those who love country music, to head on down there to tour museums, explore the nightlife, and attend endless rock concerts till the sun comes up. But there’s actually a lot more to do in Nashville than meets the eye—and one thing, in particular, is the most underrated of them all: the Farmer’s Market.

This may sound corny, but the Farmer’s Market in Nashville is truly incredible. From the amazing pumpkin patches to the freshest veggies you can find, it’s one of the best you can find in the country.

As we mentioned, it’s an excellent source of veggies and fruit. But there’s actually a lot more than you might expect from a normal Farmer’s Market. There’s an artisanal café that makes ice-blended coffees that are tastier than anything you’ve ever tried at Starbucks—and you can take that recommendation to the bank.

If you’re hungry from something mouth-watering, you can then check out one of the best ramen noodle places you’ve ever stepped foot in. But if you’re not in the mood for Japanese, there are a handful of excellent restaurants you can find there!

But if you are a person who loves those rhythm and beats, Nashville is a must-visit on your travel itinerary, and here’s why.

Live Music Scene

To say that there’s a great music scene in Nashville is the understatement of the century. If you walk through the main town, you’ll see about 10 to 15 bars that have talented musicians on their stages. We’re not just talking open mics, by the way. We’re talking drums, bass, keys, the whole enchilada.

Nashville is also great for music lovers because it’s home to countless museums that celebrate the lives and careers of your favorite stars. For instance, you can check out the Johnny Cash Museum and countless others as long as you have the time available.

Visiting Nashville, Tennessee, is always a great experience, thanks to the city’s undeniable charm. However, the experience gets even better if you are into country music. Since Nashville is home to the genre’s most significant music companies, studios, and musicians, the city boasts numerous attractions for country music fans. Check out the best of them below.

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

Let’s start with the obvious. Nashville is breathing country music, and the best proof for that is the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Located on 222 Rep. John Lewis Way S, the place pays respect to the genre and houses one of the biggest collections of music memorabilia in the whole world.

Grand Ole Opry

If you have a chance to check out Grand Ole Opry, you need to seize it no matter whether you like country music or not. Established in 1925, this country music stage concert is organized weekly at Grand Ole Opry House. It features a mix of country legends and up-and-coming artists performing hits for a live audience while the entire thing is also broadcasted on radio.

Honky Tonk Highway

Aside from Grand Ole Opry, one of the best places to hear quality country music live is Honky Tonk Highway. Located in Lower Broadway, this strip is filled with bars offering live music with no cover charge. Here you can catch both unknown artists and established stars.

Ryman Auditorium

Arguably the most iconic venue in country music, Ryman Auditorium is worth the visit simply because of the history associated with it. The building hosted the Grand Ole Opry for decades while also welcoming all of the genre’s biggest stars year in and year out.
