Italy is full of amazing destinations that make us crave traveling through this beautiful European country. Starting from cities like Rome, Florence, and Venice, all the way to tiny coastal towns—it’s impossible not to love it. One of our latest discoveries is Camogli, and here are three things to do there.

Walk the Narrow Streets

When a place is as beautiful as Camogli, you don’t need any special itinerary planned. Simply going for a walk on its narrow streets will let you see all the beauty of this fishing town.

Find the Artwork

At some point in the past, the villagers were taxed more if they had more windows on their homes, so some decided to close a few and paint them over. That’s why the town has plenty of trompe l’oeil paintings today and looking for them can be a fun game.

See Museums and Monuments

The Marine Museum will tell you all you need to know about the marine life in Camogli. You can visit Castello della Dragone—located on the edge of the town—which dates back to the 13th century. There’s a charming yellow church by the sea called Santa Maria Assunta church, and it’s gorgeous.

As the travel industry, along with our lives, slowly gets back to normal, we’re excited to plan future travels. You don’t have to travel far in order to meet new people and see new places, because sometimes traveling locally is a great choice. Here are some of the coolest U.S. towns you can visit in 2022.

Biddeford, Maine

Biddeford is one of many Maine’s seaside towns, but it’s different from the rest of them. It was a thriving mill town in the past and it’s now home to the biggest cotton mill in the country. The mill buildings are now repurposed and look more charming than ever.

Ocean Springs, Mississippi

Ocean Springs is perfect for a Southern weekend escape, especially if you’re into art. There’s a museum devoted to artist Walter Anderson, various performances by street musicians, and beautiful downtown galleries.

Fairfield, Iowa

Fairfield is a town that’s hard to define. It’s full of start-ups and small tech companies. It has a Carnegie library right near a synagogue and a vegetarian restaurant. The largest Transcendental Meditation technique center is also located there, as well as the Maharishi International University. The town is eclectic, colorful, and vibrant. There’s no way to know what to expect from it until you visit it.

At first, Mexico was popular among tourists who visited its beaches and resorts. Then Mexico City became a popular travel destination, along with Cancún and Puerto Vallarta. And now, people are traveling to Mexico to experience the country’s small towns, which show its quieter side. Here are some of the best places to visit.

Cuetzalan

Cuetzalan is a town located two hours southeast of Mexico City, and it’s absolutely magical over weekends. A traditional Mesoamerican dance is performed by “flying men”—known as voladores in Mexico—who dangle from a pole in front of the Parroquia de San Francisco de Asís. Sunday is the time for the open market, where locals set up stalls with fresh food and flowers, but also clothes and handcrafts.

Taxco

Taxco will charm you with its white houses and red roofs that look like a postcard. You can see the Templo de Santa Prisca cathedral in the center of the city and stroll through its magical streets.

Campeche

This town on the Gulf of Mexico has a rich history. It’s been a harbor town in the past and the Spanish colonials from the 16th century have been beautifully preserved. There’s the Museo de la Arquitectura Maya that offers a look into the history of the area.
