]]>Step #1
You can’t begin the cleaning process until you’ve taken everything out. Unpack the contents of your suitcase, bearing in mind any items that may have fallen from where you placed them, and those that you tucked away in compartments.
Step #2
Once your bag is empty, the true cleaning can begin. Begin by removing any luggage tags and stickers on the outside of your case. Then, using a damp cloth or disinfectant wipe, clean the exterior areas of your bag. Handles, zippers, and wheels are all playgrounds for bacteria thanks to being touched frequently and rolling across various surfaces, so scrub them well.
Step #3
Open the suitcase and vacuum the interior. Get a disinfectant spray or isopropyl alcohol and spray down the inside of your bag. Allow the spray to sit for a few minutes before wiping it off to ensure that any germs that may be lurking are destroyed.
Step #4
Let your luggage breathe. Leave the case open and allow it to air dry fully before closing it up and putting it away.

]]>The first and most important thing that you can do to protect your baggage is to buy a suitcase that holds up under all kinds of conditions. As we all know, baggage handlers, train luggage racks, and baggage holds can result in your suitcase being knocked around and roughed up. Be sure to buy one made out of durable material like polycarbonate or aluminum.
In addition, if you are traveling to a place where some theft is possible, there are two possible things that can help you secure what’s in your suitcase. The first is a security-approved lock, which keeps the necessary security forces able to access your baggage for routine checks yet prevents thieves from entering.
Also, a luggage wrap can deter thieves who hang out at the baggage claim areas or in unguarded spots in public transportation. It’s almost impossible to cut off this plastic wrap quickly in order to steal something, making it a great way to keep would-be-robbers from taking anything.
Implement all of these three strategies and you will have nothing to worry about when it comes to your bags on your next trip!
