]]>The opening of this Atlantis-themed section of Sea World was a long time coming, and it was postponed on several occasions due to the pandemic. The wait will finally be over on December 2, when Leviathan is set to welcome the first riders.
The construction of the New Atlantis was quite an investment for this Australian theme park – not to be confused with the American chain SeaWorld. They poured $50 million into its construction, and most of that money was invested into the building of Leviathan, hailed as “the world’s most iconic wooden coaster.”
This rollercoaster allows visitors to “feel the thundering 90-second quest across wooden terrain, through exhilarating banked turns, crossovers, drops and dips” on the back of a mythical sea dragon, rising from the depths of New Atlantis.
This new precinct will also feature the Trident, Australia’s tallest slide tower. Both rides are rated as “mild” on the intensity scale, making them perfect for the whole family.
