The Central Asian Spring Festival, celebrated in March, is a celebration of the coming of spring and is mostly celebrated in various Central Asian countries.

The significance of this holiday dates back form the celebration of the coming of a new year – a time of new beginnings, a period of rebirth and the blossoming and awakening of nature.

In the UK, representatives of different organizations and societies have combined their efforts to carry this tradition onwards. The success of this tradition grew every year, with more than 2000 attendees in 2015. Today, the CASF (Central Asian Spring Festival) is widely regarded in London.

The festival is represented by 9 cultures with representatives participating from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomy.

This year will be the 7th anniversary of the festival and it will be held on Sunday, 25th of March 2018.

On the day of the event, there will be various performances, fun cultural activities and a cultural exhibition. The admission is free of charge and food will be sold on site. A variety of exotic dishes of the Central Asian culture, cooked by an Uzbek cook on the spot, will also be available for the guests.
