The Hidden Gems Of Indonesia

Indonesia is not just Bali, Yogjakarta, Surabaya or Jakartа. Scattered across thousands of islands, nestled in a volcanic belt of fire, this Southeast Asian country might be the actual heaven on earth.

Banyuwangi

The name of this city means “aromatic water,” which may have to do with the very popular local legend of a princess who was punished with death for treason she did not commit. On one side of Banyuwangi there are the beautiful sandy beaches and the warm Indian Ocean, while on the other lies the high and harsh Raung Mountain.

Lake Toba (Danau Toba)

The northern part of Sumatra Island is home to one of the most amazing natural wonders of the world. Inside a giant volcanic crater, you will find the lake Toba, one of the biggest volcanic lakes on earth.

The climate is much more pleasant here than in its surrounding tropical regions. What brings people to this place is the satisfaction of seeing pure, almost untouched nature. The best part is that you can go in the middle of the lake to the small, enchanting Samosir island.
