Vacations are expensive, which is why you obviously want to get the most bang for your buck. The best way to do that is to visit a place with a cheaper exchange rate, but even then, where do you go?

Each year, the Post Office Travel Money’s Worldwide Holiday Costs Barometer determines where best to go, based on the cost of a three-course meal for two with wine; a cup of coffee; a bottle of local beer; a can of soda; suncream; and insect repellent. These were the top three destinations.

#3 Sunny Beach, Bulgaria

How can you resist a place that is called Sunny Beach? Located on the Black Sea coast, the seaside resort offers watersports and family activities like mini-golf and go-karting. You can also venture to the neighboring town of Nessebar which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

#2 Marmaris, Turkey

With its stunning beaches, Marmaris in Turkey is the ideal place to sunbathe or partake in scuba diving and jet-skiing. If the water isn’t your thing, you can also explore ancient ruins like the Marmaris Castle and the Carian Rock Tombs.

#1 Cape Town, South Africa

The number one spot went to Cape Town in South Africa and it’s not hard to see why. The beautiful city has a little something for everyone: hiking, beaches, watersports, winelands, and safari.
