As a tourist, of course you aren’t expected to speak the language of every country you visit perfectly. Plus, most tourist locations have a lot of people that speak English pretty well. With that being said, however, it shows respect and interest in the culture when you at least try to learn some basic phrases. It also helps to know the essentials in case of an emergency. Eat Like a Vegetarian

Grotta dello Smeraldo

Grotta dello Smeraldo is a beautiful cave in the area that is super unique. The cave is mostly dark, but the way the light reflects in the water makes it look like it’s glowing from underneath! 

Spiaggia Grande

You can’t go to Positano without chilling on the beach! Spiaggia Grande is the perfect place to do just that. It will even give you a great view of the colorful houses while you relax by the water.

Eat Like a Vegetarian

Not everyone will love this advice, but when you realize how often food poisoning comes from meat dishes, you’ll see it’s not such a bad idea. If you really want to test out a local cuisine with meat in it, make sure that it’s a restaurant verified by a lot of people (especially locals!).
