The post The Hague in a Day: 3 Pleasant Tourism Ideas appeared first on Traveler Dreams.
]]>The Hague has a great tram system that includes an old-fashioned Tourist Tram, which works on a Hop-on Hop-off basis, connecting the city itself with the beach and the touristy spots outside of town. The route has 16 stops and taking the full loop would take about an hour. It’s a great way to discover the city and pick out your own points of interest.
Dedicated to the work of a brilliant 20th Century Dutch artist is the Escher in the Palace (Escher in Het Paleis) museum. The museum educates about the artist’s life and works with interactive exhibits and examples of his art. Temporary exhibitions and commissions that correspond with Escher’s work and ideas are also available. While many would say this is a place for kids, it’s great fun for adults too, don’t ask how we know!
Finally, what’s a luxurious day in Europe without a taste of something sweet. Hop & Stork has an in-store café and an open-plan “chocolate studio”. Sit down for a delicious hot drink and an exquisite freshly created treat.

A 1920’s café that kept the original interior deco, located within the Piazza del Popolo, a major tourist interest spot. It offers terrace seating with a great view and excellent espresso. What more can we ask for!
Also at Piazza del Popolo is Canova, which serves a specialty drink called “Espressino doc,” which is an espresso with cocoa powder and whipped cream, a specialty mocha of a sort. Sit in the internal garden or inside, for a coffee or a full lunch.
Located at the lovely Piazza Navona, this is a restaurant with tasty pizza and great coffee. Enjoy visiting the view of Bernini’s Four Rivers Fountain and the exquisite selection of coffee and cappuccino.

]]>Two friends who decided to become vegan in 2012 found it difficult to get proper meals when they go out to eat. They took on the challenge and in 2014 opened Anastasia in order to make it possible for people to consume more plant-based products without giving up fun aspects of going out.
The cafe is located at the heart of Tel Aviv City Center, which made it essential that it provides top-notch food and service to keep up with the city’s best-established restaurants. It is not just plant-based but a fully ethical cafe, serving fair-trade, organic coffee, and making their foods as well as the almond milk on-site.
True to 21st Century eating culture, Anastasia caters to a variety of diets, including gluten-free, raw food, and organic (biologically-grown) food. The kitchen is led by a chef that specializes in plant-based food and by the idea that a vegan diet should focus on the great food that is available instead of the animal products vegans can’t have. What an inspiring attitude!

]]>You can see the Joshua trees and get to know the desert a little just by driving around the park. Just across the main road in the park, going from east to west. A large granite rock was eroded in a surprisingly specific way, with eye and nose sockets opened in it along time. Centuries later, it now eerily looks like a giant skull, certainly worth seeing.
An annual event that happens every September in the park, this is one for the stargazers. The festival includes a tour of the model of the solar system at the observatory, guided hikes around the park trails, and a Star Night Party enjoying the clear sky at this light-pollution-free spot. This is an all-ages event!
Joshua Tree National Park has a rather developed accessibility plan. The park includes some wheelchair accessible trails and campgrounds, the tours are available in sign language and with tactile interpretation, and they are now preparing descriptive audio for all their information.

Not necessarily a notable tourist destination, this library in County Donegal has a fishing boat hanging from the ceiling. The library itself is located in a converted church and acts as the center of activities for the local community.
A formidable historical building, this library was founded by Victor Schœlcher, who originally housed his own collection of books in the library. This is a great historical monument to see when visiting Fort-de-France.
Almost blindingly white on first look, the design of the multi-level library with its many staircases in Stuttgart reminds us of artist MC Esher’s artwork. Intended to put the emphasis on the books, this library’s design is actually worth checking out even if you can’t read German!

]]>The best time to research the matter is the dead of summer, because it would take a very special product to make people queue out in the blistering heat. When it comes to being worth a 20-minute queue in the sun even in June, it is essential to mention “Il Massimo del Gelato.”
The place prides itself on a wide range of quality ingredients. Walking in reveals the colors, textures, and flavors of gelato presented at lush swirls in their containers. These include fruity flavors alongside an array of ten or more shades of chocolate. The standout chocolate flavor is the Azteco: cinnamon and hot pepper delight.
You’ll need to get to Gerusalemme area; but don’t worry, it’s worth the trip. Then, of course, you stand in line before you can collect your number and move on to select your ice cream. We recommend going with friends and bringing along some cold water to keep it sweet and cool even before gelato.
Complement the experience by enjoying your gelato while walking around the produce and flower market around the corner from Il Massimo.
