Also at Piazza del Popolo is Canova, which serves a specialty drink called “Espressino doc,” which is an espresso with cocoa powder and whipped cream, a specialty mocha of a sort. Sit in the internal garden or inside, for a coffee or a full lunch.
Located at the lovely Piazza Navona, this is a restaurant with tasty pizza and great coffee. Enjoy visiting the view of Bernini’s Four Rivers Fountain and the exquisite selection of coffee and cappuccino.

]]>The arabica plant from which coffee is from was first found and cultivated in the Kaffa region of Ethiopia, which is how the word coffee came about. Scholars say that coffee was first cultivated back in the 9th century, which is pretty amazing.
Just as people in Japan have tea ceremonies, people in Ethiopia have coffee ceremonies! The ceremony is very special and is meant to engage all five of your senses during the whole time. The ceremony consists of roasting, grinding, and brewing the coffee, and more. The ceremony is not only to appreciate the coffee more but to bring people together as a social gathering.
Usually, you have to be personally invited to a coffee ceremony, but in the capital of Addis Ababa, there are some places where you can experience a more informal ceremony at places like Alem Bunna or other coffee shops. But even if you just grab a cup of joe to go, you’ll be amazed by how incredible the coffee is, and you’ll never look back!

]]>The post Kopi Luwak is a Bizarre and Unique Asian Coffee appeared first on Traveler Dreams.
]]>If you haven’t heard about Civet Coffee, it’s a type of coffee that you must try at least once in your life. It’s not just your regular cup of Joe; the way it’s made is quite unique and people say it’s much healthier than traditional coffee beans.
This special coffee is found mostly in Asia — in Indonesia and the Philippines. It’s considered one of the most expensive coffees in the world and for a special reason. Read on to find out why.
Kopi Luwak, or Civet Coffee, is coffee derived through the help of civets. They consume the coffee cherries, and after it goes to the bathroom, the cherries from the civet undergoes a fermentation process. It might sound gross at first, but this is how the coffee becomes more potent and valued.
Kopi sounds a lot like coffee because it translates to coffee in Indonesian, and the role of the civet is vital in creating this strain of coffee. The final process of coffee making involves washing to remove any remaining dirt and bacteria. Regular coffee beans also have dirt and bacteria in them, and it’s all in how you sanitize and clean it afterward. Rest assured, Kopi Luwak is sold many places around the world and in Asia, so it makes it a delicacy and also a unique way of preparing coffee.

Waycup is great for people who are working on their laptops or who want to just unwind with a good book. They have a great dessert selection with tasty cookies and treats. Make Waycup your next destination for a chill and productive afternoon.
The Little Prince is every book lover’s dream destination. While munching on their delicious lentil hummus, you can check out their 10 shekel ($2.81) books outside. Instead of spending 2 hours here, you’ll end up spending your entire day browsing through art books and admiring the cozy interior.

]]>The post The Coffee Culture Around The Globe; Italy, Vietnam and Brazil appeared first on Traveler Dreams.
]]>The formation of culture around coffee and coffee houses dates back to the 14th Century in Turkey. Coffee houses in Western Europe were traditionally social places, as well as artistic and intellectual centers. Today it is more like a social activity, a working location or a meeting place for most of the people.
The style of coffee varies by country. Here are three out of the most famous coffee cultures around the globe:
ITALY
Coffee is simply part of the Italian culture but it is not as easy as it seems. The coffee culture in Italy comes with a set of rules. Firstly, it is usually drank while standing, which does not occur in the United States. Then, they also have different rules such as, milky coffee must be consumed in the morning and never following a meal, or other Italians may say they have to drink it before a meal to clean the palate or after a meal to refresh.
VIETNAM
French colonists might have introduced coffee to Vietnam, but the cup of ca phé soon became a local habit. Vietnamese coffee has developed a style of its own with the use of yoghurt, eggs and even fruits. The preparations process and the blending of the beans is different from any other countries as well. The grounded beans go into a French dip filter, which sits on top of the cup. The beans are weighted down with a thin lid, hot water is added to the filter and then the water slowly trickles through into the cup.
BRAZIL
Brazil is the world’s largest producer and is responsible for about a third of all coffee. Brazilians are big coffee drinkers and tend to drink numerous small cups of coffee throughout the day. Because the coffee beans are produced at lower altitudes than the average coffee plantation, they have a more bitter quality. Therefore, Brazilians tend to drink their coffee quite sweet.
