The idea comes from Meow Wolf, an arts and entertainment company in Santa Fe which has created other immersive experiences like the House of Eternal Return in New Mexico.
More than 300 artists have contributed to Omega Mart and the result is four unique spaces that are all certain to blow your mind.
As guests begin the journey, they will find themselves in a seemingly ordinary grocery store featuring products like an energy drink called Wake Up Please!, dehydrated water, emergency clams, and cans of tattoo chicken. Almost all are available to purchase as souvenirs.
The next area is named Dramcorp, after the fictionalized corporate entity behind Omega Mart, and includes a labyrinth-style maze. It is then onto the Factory, a playground where the unusual products are manufactured, and finally, the Projected Desert, which is an exploration through vibrant psychedelic realms.
The 20-minute experience costs $49 for adults, and $45 for children, seniors, and members of the military.

]]>Las Vegas is a weekend and holiday getaway for the entire United States. If you choose to visit then, you will probably get lost in the sea of tourists and visitors while waiting in line for everything. Instead, aim for your visit during workdays if that is an option. You’ll have a much better experience and will be able to explore the city hassle-free.
Don’t expect that you can just walk in and buy a ticket for a show in Las Vegas. These shows are all sold out well before the scheduled date in most cases. So instead of missing out, book your place or a ticket in advance. You can also do the same for most other Las Vegas tourist attractions.
This might seem like an odd one at first, but it will serve you well. While lots of attractions and points of interest may seem within walking distance, they are not. Everything is farther than it looks, and you don’t want to get exhausted from walking in Las Vegas. So instead, take public transportation (or an Uber) whenever you can.
Everything in Las Vegas is inviting you to spend money. This is why setting a budget and sticking to it is the best decision you can make. Yes, you want to have fun. But you probably don’t want to run your entire bank account to the ground.

]]>From cultural traditions in countries like Thailand and India, to celebrations of the ocean in Japan, lantern festivals take place for all sorts of reasons. But whatever the celebration, they are a true sight to behold. Here are the most spectacular lantern festivals you should start planning a visit to.
Originating from the Lanna culture of Northern Thailand, the Yi Peng lantern festival is celebrated on the second full moon of the Lanna’s calendar month. Lanterns are released into the air to mark the end of the monsoon season and beginning of the cool season.
Every year, locals and visitors alike travel to the Mojave desert in Nevada to watch thousands of lanterns rise high above the Las Vegas Strip. It’s a celebration of music, art, and individuality where visitors can write their own message on their sky lanterns and honor whatever message inspires them.
The Tsunan region gets some of the heaviest snowfall in the world, and they’ve held a snow festival every year since 1974. Visitors can try winter activities like snow biking, snow banana boating and the climax of the evening is the lanterns being launched into the sky at night.

]]>Plans have been announced to create a 5.5-million-square-foot hotel inspired by the moon. The brainchild behind the $5-billion idea is the Canadian company, Moon World Resorts Inc, which also has lunar-themed properties planned for the Middle East, China, and Spain over the next five years.
Space lovers will be fascinated by the Las Vegas hotel’s replica of the moon that is set to measure 735-feet tall and 650-feet wide. Although it will only be 1/75,000 the size of the moon, it will still be large enough to accommodate 4,000 guest rooms and suites.
Guests at Moon Resort Las Vegas will not be short on entertainment, either. Expect a planetarium, theater, arena, event center, spa, and casino. It will also feature thousands of feet worth of shops and restaurants, as well as a nightclub that will be positioned directly under a “spaceship”. But no moon-themed establishment would be complete without a lunar colony.
For the price of $500, visitors will be able to spend 90 minutes exploring a 10-acre space that mimics lunar colonies which are actively being planned by NASA and other space programs. Guests will use a moon buggy to pass over the craters, and will even need to ride a rollercoaster-like moon shuttle to reach the area.
Moon Resorts Las Vegas is scheduled to take about four years to build.
